A tornado north of Savanna caused a tree to make contact with a 161 KV line, resulting in a transmission outage affecting more than 2,400 Jo-Carroll Energy members Wednesday night, June 12. Multiple rounds of storms hampered restoration efforts.
Jo-Carroll Energy members urged to report power outages
Due to storms that passed through the area Wednesday night, Jo-Carroll Energy's power suppliers experienced damage on their systems. Subsequently, Jo-Carroll Energy facilities were affected also.
Transmission providers restored service to Jo-Carroll Energy's territory at approximately 10:15 p.m. Wednesday. Additional distribution outages may not have been apparent until transmission supply was restored. Jo-Carroll Energy crews worked throughout the evening to restore power. Members who are still without power should call 800-927-5254.
